Elpida Hadzi-Vesileva is a Macedonian artist living and working in England, She trained at the Glasgow School of Art and the Royal College of Art, London. Elpida is a site-specific, installation artist working across varied media including sculpture, installation, video, sound, photography, and architectural interventions. Elpida’s materials range from the extraordinary to the ordinary and the ephemeral or thrown away to the highly precious; from organic materials, foodstuffs, and precious metals, such as caul fat, and omasum to gold leaf. Central to her practice is a response to the particularities of place; its history, location, environment, and communities.
