Dreams play an extremely important role for each of us as individuals as well as collectively as societies. They let us envision future, connect to the past, explore unconscious hopes and wishes.
The audio installation invites all visitors to participate in either or both of two ways. Firstly to create a personal soundtrack for their dreams from an endless stream of musical layers which are in turn created from a huge number of heavily manipulated and reshaped snippets taken from Chopin’s Nocturne Op. 55 No. 1 in f Minor. Secondly, the installation offers a safe space for sharing dreams, ideas, hopes, or wishes. They’ll become an abstract and untraceable part of the artwork.
