RE-CONNECT

2024 RE-CONNECT《From Waste to Art》Intaglio Printing Workshop

Introduction

During the workshop you will learn the basic understanding for intaglio printing. Traditionally intaglio prints are made with copper or zink plates by engraving the image manually or chemically onto the surface. We will use our everyday waste material to transform them into printing plates by cutting them with scissors and scalpels and modify them with engravings tools.
Participants should collect their own waste like flat plastics, foil, sheet metal and milk cartons. Any flat or soft material can be used as a printing plate.
