Puyun
Born in Yunnan, he received a master’s degree in experimental art from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and currently lives and works in Chengdu, China. Puyun uses artistic practices narrated in different media to discuss the modernity of a minority indigenous people. In recent years, his work has mainly tended to be local, especially the comparison and reflection of his own cultural environment, as well as the identity, situation and regional ecological environment of ethnic minorities from a global perspective.
Yu Fei
Yu Fei, a Hebei girl who has lived in Chengdu for 7 years, is the 2023 super agent of A4 International Art Residency Center, and participates in the A4 Residency Art Project “Conversation in the Kitchen”. Having studied, traveled or lived in 13 countries, speaks two foreign languages, practices vegetarianism, enjoys dancing, yoga, diving, horseback riding, traveling, food, movies and animals. I want to explore and understand the world as much as possible, and I also hope that my existence can bring some help and inspiration to others.
Marcelo Armani
Marcelo Armani is a sound artist, electronic musician, composer and audio expert who works as a mixer in film and landscape projects in Latin America, producing multi-channel productions and site-specific, art-set sound installations in multiple sound languages. In some cases, the works are hybrid installations intertwined with multiple media and mediums such as video, photography, sculpture, and performance. His interest lies in the plasticity and spatial properties of sound, which, as a sculptural act, constitute immersive spaces and architecture. He listens to and collects sound material extracted from soundscapes, networks, media, and internet platforms, and synthesizes audio using new technologies and simulators.
Switchoffthelight
Switchoffthelight is a three-person art group consisting of Ruggero Franceschini, Angel Zhao and Yu Ruipei, focusing on site-specific performances. The group members come from a variety of artistic backgrounds, including fine arts, performance, and stage art, and the trio began working together while studying for a Master of Performance Design and Practice at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, and working as the Switchoffthelight Arts Group for theatre art, creating site-specific performances in the UK, Italy, Greece, Denmark and China.
