Andy Storchenegger (Switzerland)
Andy Storchenegger is an independent artist who lives and works in Zurich and St. Gallen, Switzerland. In 2011, Andy received his MFA at the École cantonale d’art (Faculty of Art and Design) in Lausanne and studied ceramics and polymer materials at the HEAD Institute in Geneva. He has exhibited in Switzerland and abroad and has been a guest lecturer at the Willem de Kooning Academie in Rotterdam.
Since 2009 he has been a lecturer at the Höhere Fachschule für Gestaltung und Kunst (Higher School of Design and Art Technology) in St. Gallen. He traveled several times to the South Pacific, South America and Africa, and was fascinated by the remnants of the ancient customs of the islanders, as well as the elements of wildness and antiquity preserved in Switzerland.
