Basic profile

Born in Chongqing and now living in Hong Kong, Yang Hao enrolled at the China Song and Dance Troupe Art School in Beijing in 1998, joined the China Opera and Dance Theatre and the Guangzhou Song and Dance Troupe after graduation, and danced with the Guangdong Modern Dance Company from 2005 to 2007, and performed with the company in the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Poland, Denmark and Hong Kong. In 2007, she was awarded a scholarship to study for a bachelor’s degree in dance, majoring in modern dance, at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, and joined CCDC in 2009. In June 2012, he joined Ivy Chung Ballet School as a teacher, and at the same time determined to create his own artistic style. In 2013, Yang Hao was invited by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Korea to participate in the DanceExchange Program of the Seoul International Dance Festival as a Resident Artist, in 2014 he was awarded the danceWEB Outstanding Young Artist Scholarship to participate in the Impulse Dance Festival in Vienna, and in 2015, Yang Hao was awarded a scholarship by the New York Office of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office and the Yale-China Association to participate in the Yale-China Art Scholars Artist in Residence Program at Yale University. He and Alice Rensy were commissioned by the Hong Kong Arts Festival to produce “Straight Talk” (2014) and “Pied A Terre” (2016) and “Middle” (2016) by the International Festival of Creative Arts.
