2024 RE-CONNECT《Echo of Aluminium Sea》Art Performance

Introduction

In this art scene, Chinese dynamic installation artist Li Sizhu and German musician Matthias Petsche will jointly present art scenes and exchanges that integrate images, film music, improvisations and art installations in multiple dimensions. The audience will immerse themselves in the multi-sensory art experience brought by mixed media and projection.

  • Artists

    Matthias Petsche

    Composer and lecturer, with a focus on film music. He has scored numerous films, including Pingpong, which won the SACD Award at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival. In 2022, his score for Eldorado KaDeWe won the German Television Award and was nominated for the Grimme Award.

    Sizhu Li

    Sizhu Li, a kinetic installation artist born in China and currently based in Houston, holds a BFA from the Central Academy of Fine Arts and MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in the United States. Li has received several prestigious art grants in the U.S, including awards from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and the New York City Crops Artists Grant. From 2021 to 2023, she taught at Pratt Institute in New York.
