RE-CONNECT

RE-CONNECT | Do fish sleep at night?

Introduction

In this fast-paced city, we’re often too busy chasing the new skyline of a skyscraper or searching for a quiet, perfectly green patch of grass. But there’s a unique feast of art that doesn’t look at these obvious beauties, but invites us to delve deeper into the often-overlooked stories of the land and the land below.

The theme comes from a story related to the water ecosystem here. Liao Bowen, an expert on the water environment of Foothill Lake, once told Noemi that his job entails monitoring the lake by boat, and that he can see the different seasons of Foothill Lake from underwater. In addition, some fish would come out of the water early in the morning to breathe, but when people came out of the water, they would no longer be visible. They will hide and dive into the depths of the lake. In the evening, you will see them again. Foothill Lake is like a life, it grows and changes, but for most of us it stays hidden.
