Marcelo Armani is a sound artist, electro-acoustic musician/composer and audio professional working as a sound mixer on film and landscape projects in Latin America. His artistic research is part of the field of sound art, through the production of multichannel works and site-specifc /artistic live sound installations, across multiple languages. In some cases, such productions produce mixed installations that intertwine with multiple media and mediums such as video, photography, sculpture and performance. His interest lies in the plasticity and spatial character of sound as a sculptural action that constitutes immersive spaces and architecture. His practice stems from listening to and collecting sound material extracted from soundscapes, networks, media and internet platforms, as well as from the synthesis of audio synthesis using new technologies and analogue processes.
