RE-CREATE

I Am Also Here

Introduction

Using the body as bait, exploring transgressive behavior. In the bluesy night, Kandi paints his whole body white, retaining the hollow blackness of the skeleton state, and holding the signage “I’m here too” in the state of wearing only an inch shirt. I’m Here Too” conveys the idea that ‘I’ exists in another form, only seemingly transgressing the boundaries. Our boundaries may be too clear and narrow; perhaps the body stretches out on the steps, expresses itself with the sign, sleeps on the steps, tastes the earth in the grass, dances on the stones… … This is a new interpretation of “crossing the border”.

In this state of silence, the audience’s applause is even slightly abrupt. When she approaches, people back away in fear; when she turns to explore, people are suddenly strict, and Kandi’s creation utilizes the imagination of social forms to push the action of exploring boundaries.
